Ron Kelly was recently elected to the board of directors of EduContribution, where he will serve as Treasurer. EduContribution is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Chattanooga, TN which pairs graduate students and educators with non-profit organizations needing research and analysis using geographic information systems (GIS). Through service learning, students gain valuable skills while providing high quality actionable analysis for selected non-profit organizations. Last year Ron served as a mentor to a graduate student at the University of Redlands in an EduContribution project with a small business development center (SBDC) and local food grower. The task was to designate optimal greenhouse locations and shipping routes to reach Montana population centers.
