Erol Yildirim, Mark White, and William Cook met with representatives from Henry Ford College to further develop workforce information tools and training for the Multi-State Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (MSAMC) in Dearborn, Michigan.
Established in 2012 under the TAACCCT Grant Program, the Multi-State Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (M-SAMC) is designing innovative program models to improve manufacturing education. With thirteen college partners across ten states, more than forty industrial partners, and state-of-the-art technology, M-SAMC is committed to integrating strategies that increase student success.By bridging the gap between the needs of the workplace and the manufacturing curriculum in most colleges, M-SAMC is paving the way for job-driven training. M-SAMC is empowering workers to meet the demands of today’s careers and to thrive in high-wage, high skill occupations.
