Julian de la Maza joined CREC as a Research Analyst in August of 2026. Julian graduated from American University with a Master of Public Policy degree, where he used quantitative research to analyze and predict policy outcomes.
Previously he interned at the National Association of Counties where he helped county officials communicate with important stakeholders the resources they needed to administer elections. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Honors) and Public Policy from Vanderbilt University. There Julian analyzed economic barriers faced by people impacted by the criminal justice system via qualitative data analysis.
